for English!

 

You cannot SAVE time! You can’t take 1 hour and say: “I’ll save this for later.”

What we can do is change the way we use our time. This is a major concept you need to understand well. You can only find time for improving your English by stopping or doing less of something else.

How To Find Time For English

So what is most important to you? If English is one of your top priorities, then you have to decide which activities of lesserimportance you will stop or limit.

This re-use of time doesn’t have to be constant. You can make a 10, 20 or 30 day plan during which you decide to watch less movies, or spend less time socializing or browsing the internet for example, and dedicate 20, 30 or 60 minutes a day improving your English.

Get The Action Habit

JUST DO IT! Set a day and time and start. Don’t wait for the perfect moment to start, it rarely comes. Just begin. Don’t waste time getting ready to act, start acting instead. Pick up the ball and run! If you find yourself lacking motivation on any particular day, start your mental engine mechanically. Don’t wait to get into the mood. Take action and soon your mood will follow.

So without thinking, switch on your computer or mobile device, load up a program (see next section for recommendations) and force yourself to concentrate. Soon you will be in the mood! (Paraphrased from The Magic of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz, page 264)
